Weekend in the Italian countryside of Latium

san-donato

Friday was a public holiday in Rome, so me and some coworkers at Venere fled the oppressing heat of Rome to stay in the Latium countryside for the weekend. We headed to the Latium medieval village of San Donato Val di Comino, some 150 km from Rome and 95 km from Naples, on the slopes of the Apennines in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. There are 779,858,172 people like me!

I stumbled upon this funny Jung personality test on StumbleUpon. Naturally, I couldn’t resist and it turns out I’m an authentic ESTJ! And I’m not alone out there! 779,585,172 others stand with me (11.6% of the world population), although it might be a bit more by the time you read this.

What is an ESTJ you ask.
Well, some of it was true, other things were completely off. Here’s the profile:

“Trustee”: true :)

“Decisiveness in practical affairs”: true - balanced out by indecisiveness in impractical affairs :)

“Guardian of time - honored institutions”: NO! If that were true I’d already gone mad living in Rome

“Dependable”: very true, at least I like to think so :)

So, what’s your type? And if you know me, do you agree?

SES San Jose Photos

I took so many photos at SES San Jose that it would be too much to embed them here, so I posted pictures from Search Engines Strategies San Jose on Piacasaweb:

I haven’t had time yet for a write-up of the sessions I attended. I’m off to Greece on holiday tomorrow morning and will start writing when I get back!

Visit to Google Headquarters

Today, me and a small group of others visited the Googleplex. We had lots of fun and met with some very interesting people from various parts of Google. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say about it…

Underground art

a platform for art

This caught my attention while riding the escalator in a London underground station.

Turns out it’s a platform for art project by Transport for London. The artist’s name is Ugo Rondinone and his work was on display at the Whitechapel Gallery.

Too bad I’m too late to go and see it…

feast at superzu’s apartment

susan promised you that i would leave my traces on her blog, so here i am. it is great to be back in the eternal city: it feels like coming home again. susan’s apartment is really nice and it’s amazing that you can watch dutch queen’s day celebrations live on her tv, so that you feel even more at home -)

besides eating and sleeping a lot, we also had to cope with a terrible drama: the electric delonghi espresso maker broke so there was nothing to drink but tea this morning, which is pretty bad for a coffee addict like me. just ten minutes ago susan almost broke her neck while searching for an old fashioned macchinetta in a hidden store room next to the kitchen and guess what: she found it…! so right now i’m enjoying a very nice cup of home made espresso.

Ego surfing

I came across a really funny article in a back issue of a dutch newspaper about egosurfing.

At this point I couldn’t help myself and did a little ego research of my own only to find out that nobody writes about me. But then again, why would they?
